For cats and the people who love them.
As a child, I made friends with every neighborhood cat I could find – a trait that has certainly continued – and I’ve always had at least one cat in my life.
As my grandmother got older, I would trim her cat Midnight’s nails for her. After losing my grandmother in May of 2025, I took Midnight into my home and knew I wanted to make a difference in my community in Salem.
I’m Alexa Franklin, and I’ve worked in the veterinary field as a Certified Veterinary Technician for 10 years. I am also Fear Free™ certified, meaning I am trained in fear-free techniques to help make working with your cat as stress-free as possible. Throughout my career, I’ve made it a point to learn everything I could from the veterinarians and colleagues I worked with so that I could provide the highest quality of patient care and client interaction.
Cats do not always appreciate getting into a carrier and traveling to a veterinary clinic or grooming facility and/or their caregivers are not always able to take their kitties in for routine services like nail trimming.
I started Midnight’s Manicures in-home nail trim service to provide a less stressful and safer option for your cat and for you.
